| Philosophy: |
People get stuck, feel bad about their work, repeat mistakes from the past. But people are also creative, resourceful and whole and can create the life they really want. It takes work, and it doesn’t happen in a week. There are a million reasons to say 'no' to a creative life--and only one good reason to say 'yes'--it's the only way to feel completely alive. |
| Methods of Working: |
Phone, in person, via e-mail. |
| Specializations: |
1. Women in transition--from an office job to a life in art; how to start your own business; how to be happy after you retire; re-inventing yourself.
2. People who are disappointed in their life choices--work, family, relationships— develop perspective and create new choices.
3. Artists--writers, painters, photographers, potters, jewelers, and other fine crafters--who are stuck in their work, not getting ahead, not happy with the quality of their work can work deeper and more effectively.
4. I help artists market their work by teaching basic concepts and helping the artist develop a marketing strategy and plan. My specialty is artists who sell their work at retail and wholesale shows, through galleries, or any artists who needs to market and advertise his/her work to the public.
Training: 15 years of doing art shows; 8 years of helping artists sell themselves and their work; formal Life and Creativity Coaching training, 3 years of coaching. Interested in Academics? BA in biology and English; MA in folklore. |
| Individual Services: |
I work with people over the phone, or in combination with e-mails. That allows you to get coached at home or at work, in bad weather, when you are on vacation. Coaching is about you and your work. I ask powerful questions for you to think about. Depending on what works for you, we create exercises on defining your values, getting a new perspective, visualizing help, harnessing the power of your dreams. I don’t give advice and you don’t give excuses. It’s hard work but you only have one life, build one you enjoy. |

| Training and Experience: |
I believe in lifelong learning. After a BA (in biology and English) and an MA (in folklore), I continued to take classes in fields I needed and enjoyed: writing, papermaking, book creation, paper marbling, graphic design, jewelry design and fabrication, leadership, creative management, software programs, information design—anything that fed the mind and heart. In 2001 I returned to school, this time to become a Life Coach. I completed the training courses through The Coaches Institute, then followed up with a 16-week course taught by Eric Maisel on Creativity Coaching. |
