Training and Experience:

Denise is a magna cum laude graduate of Howard University (BFA) and a graduate of the Sarah Lawrence College MFA program, and she acknowledges that the Sarah Lawrence unofficial philosophy (the Sarah Lawrence Way!) has significantly shaped her “Anything is possible attitude!”

For 15 years she’s lived this philosophy by changing the lives of young people and their families through her values based performing arts camp, The Children’s Theatre Workshop, Inc. “Many of the parents say the positive impact the camp has on their child far exceeds any camp they’ve ever attended. "Well, my mission was simple, to create a place where courage and creativity would go hand in hand!”

Denise is an award winning Director and Playwright and she's been seen by millions in her recurring role as Miss Anna on HBO's tele-drama The Wire.

She's a member of The Creativity Coaching Association, Toastmasters International, and a certified Reiki practitioner. She's trained at Coachville, Unity of WDC and Certified Group Mastery with Wendy Y. Bailey, and she's thrilled to presently be training with Dr. Eric Maisel.
