Philosophy:
Creating is fun and, it's also real work that holds daily challenges. Developing creativity opens wonderful possibilities, and I find deep satisfaction giving people the tools to seek more fulfillment through learning the power of a good question, creativity, resilience, play and personal empowerment.
As an artist, certified creativity and life purpose coach, author, speaker and inspirational writer I maintain a coaching practice in the Minneapolis area working with clients worldwide. I've been called Play Wizard because of my use of play as part of the creative process, in workshops, courses and webinars. I believe that creativity is the essential element defining human character, and exploring the relationship between art and the artist is a grand adventure.
Methods of Working:
I work with clients via phone, in-person, email, groups and online through, skype, webinars and conferences. Phone coaching offers the easiest connection for most people.
Specializations:
Asking Power Questions – Good questions help you to navigate your success. Many people don't know how to question in the way that will help them reach success. Inspired by years of coaching and creating I wrote Ask Power Questions: A Practical Guide to Help You Get What You Want in Business, Life, and Friendship, to help more people learn the power of using great quests to succeed.
Permission – It is one of the foundations of my work. Permission granting can be difficult for many. I focus on all aspects of permission from giving to receiving, choosing and celebrating.
Play – Playability is essential to our growth and well-being. I work with all areas of play and help my client's discover how they play, why and when they need to, and identify their plan to include play in their daily life.
Creating Resilience — The ability to bounce through life's bumps is a necessary strength of resilience. I give special attention to my client's capability to flex, for their wellbeing and to survive the rough stuff. I created a self-help coaching program on this topic which can be found on my web site.
The Creative Process — Having a method to create is a necessary part of creativity and I place a special emphasis on helping my clients develop workable habits that enhance their creative effort. I enjoy teaching as much as coaching, and created courses to teach and coach numerous programs.
Collaborations — I enjoy helping client's as individuals and groups interact and develop their interdependencies and reach goals.
Shadow Painting — Using a style of painting I developed, this hands on coach/training method is great for in-person and live group coaching that provides a snapshot of the creative mindset and the creator's process.
Individual Services:I use a playful approach when I coach my clients, bringing a spirit of fun into the work. Providing a safe, nurturing, and respectful space for them to explore their needs, I deeply value grace and integrity in the process of coaching.
Utilizing all creative media opportunities for self discovery and a solid creative model, I help my clients achieve self permission to enjoy their life and create their dreams.
